Poetry

img_1081.jpg

Poetry on this site was written by my brother, James R. McElwee. James, known throughout the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania as "Mac", died on Easter Sunday, 1998, six months before his 65th birthday.

"Mac" was the owner of Mac's Hoagies, a Shamokin, PA landmark for the past 25+ years. The Hoagie Shop is now owned by his widow, Nancy.

I have the poems listed on 'pages' as shown in the navigation bar. Each page contains from three to six poems.

Your comments on these poems are welcome.
